I’m Daniel (aka thetallone), and I am glad you stopped by to see what’s happening in my little corner of the world. I am a programmer by trade, a filmmaker by degree, and a musician by night.
I have been married since 2001 to my wonderful wife Elise (now writing here as thechickone) and we have 4 kids (ALL GIRLS!) and a crazy dog.
I am working as a full time software developer for Infor (US), Inc since April of 2016 after leaving PTI Security Systems (May 1999 – April 2016). I volunteer some of my time as the Worship Arts Director and Worship Leader at Mountain View Christian Church. I was also a student at Arizona State University. Aside from all of that I also have my own freelance web/graphic design consulting that I used to do under 2crazyDesign.
I moonlighted as the lead singer, guitar player and a songwriter for a local Phoenix area band called Kings No More. We had a rock/metal band with Christian foundations and we also volunteered our time and talents as the worship band for the Wednesday night youth service at Mountain View. We have played all kinds of venues at churches, bars and the like. You can check out some videos of us at Kings No More’s YouTube Channel.
As far as my education goes: I graduated from Camelback High School in Phoenix in 1999. I then went on to pursue an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Motion Picture/Television Production from Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale where I graduated in 2003. During my time at SCC I also get a Certificate in Computer Graphics and worked several semester in a special projects class doing 3D animated sports bumpers for the MCTV channel. I had been attending ASU from 2007-2012 pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, but the money ran out 3/4 of the way before the program did.
My experience includes (but is not limited to):
Programming primarily with C#, Objective-C, PHP, jQuery, AJAX, REST, Visual Basic, Microsoft’s .NET Framework and T-SQL with Microsoft SQL Server. I have some knowledge of C/C++, and straight Java. I am also well versed with InstallShield/InstallScript, Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Premiere. I can get around in After Effects, Flash, Adobe Encore, and InDesign. I have worked with QuarkXpress, Softimage XSI, Microsoft Access, DotNetNuke, WordPress, osCommerce, phpBB, ASP w/VB Script, and ASP.NET. I have also implemented payment interfaces with Authorize.net, PayPal IPN, and Stripe. I have also done many software and web site GUI designs as well as advertisement designs. I love to learn and am always excited to face new challenges.
My only rules for my site are that you play well with others, keep profanities to yourself and be honest, for better or worse.
